Silent Strike and friends (Clubul Taranului/Bucuresti)

13 martie/22h00 pentru 20de ron il asculti pe Silent Strike si il vezi pe Dan Basu (visuals). Pe langa asta Silent Strike vine la pachet cu invitatii sai: Alexandrina, Brazda lui Novac, Deliric1, DJ Vasile, Matze, Rufi, Ursu. Totul la Clubul Taranului Roman.

96x40x30: Razvan Botis “Idiotul”

96x40x30In luna martie 2010, Centrul de Introspectie Vizuala colaboreaza cu artistii Nicu Ilfoveanu, Razvan Botis, Arnold Estefan in realizarea unui nou program expozitional, intitulat 96x40x30.

Episodul #1 - Nicu Ilfoveanu “Comanda!” - Deschidere: Miercuri, 03 martie ora 19.00

Episodul #2 - Razvan Botis “Idiotul” - Deschidere: Miercuri, 10 martie ora 19.00

Episodul #3 - Arnold Estefan “In ghetele prezentului” - Deschidere: Miercuri, 17 martie ora 19.00

96x40x30 este o initiativa ce-si afla sursa de inspiratie in conditia prezenta a scenei de arta din Romania si se adreseaza acelor artisti care traiesc, lucreaza si produc in acest context. 96x40x30 este o suma de episoade individuale ce se concentreaza asupra unor evenimente, teme, istorii orale, marcate de nespectacular, de obisnuit si care au ca punct comun o structura spatiala si formala rigida, reprezentata de un soclu de marmura cu dimensiunile de 96x40x30cm.

Nicu Ilfoveanu, Razvan Botis, Arnold Estefan sunt invitati sa raspunda provocarilor acestui format de expunere, sa-l reinterpreteze, aducandu-l intr-o relatie directa cu preocuparile lor curente. Noile productii artistice, prezente in spatiul CIV pe durata a patru zile, dincolo de raportul adesea critic cu contemporaneitatea, repun in valoare necesara practica a contemplarii.

Proiectele vor fi arhivate intr-o publicatie post-eveniment ce include si o serie interviuri realizate cu artistii.

Episodul #2 - Razvan Botis “Idiotul” - Deschidere: Miercuri, 10 martie ora 19.00

“Cred c? a fost o moda in arta plastica din Romania , cartea-obiect. Era o metafora pe masura unei generatii, ce a dus la transformarea cartii intr-un fetis local.

Ca si romanul “Idiotul”, blocul de piatra este sublim si, in acelasi timp, ridicol de greu si masiv. In plus caram in spate raportul contradictoriu fata de marea cultura rusa. Nu vrem sa invatam rusa, dar citim aceasta literatura cu nesat. Coperta romanului imbratiseaza postamentul, pentru a dubla ironia situatiei, fara sa o poata clinti din loc…”

Razvan Botis (n.1984) este absolvent al Universitatii de Arta din Cluj. Traieste si lucreaza in Cluj. In noiembrie 2009 este prezent la Bucuresti cu expozitia “Dealul era un munte”, organizata de galeria Andreiana Mihail. Botis isi propune sa transforme aparentele incoerente, rutina zilnica, basmele/povestile clasice in unelte pentru a produce lucrari.

Eveniment desfasurat cu sprijinul Marmosim. In parteneriat cu UAP, Sato Art.

Only films made after 1st of January 2008 and which have not competed in any previous Portuguese festival are eligible to enter the competition.

Leonardo Scholarship for Media Art Histories

The Department for Image Science (Danube University) and Leonardo/ISAST are pleased to announce their new cooperative effort, a half-tuition scholarship for the Master of Arts (MA) course in MediaArtHistories, with a start in May 2010!

LEONARDO SCHOLARSHIP FOR MEDIA ART HISTORIES - The scholarship is planned to answer the critical challenges of the 21st century, which require mobilization and cross-fertilization among the domains of art, science and technology by supporting the studies of a new researcher or artist.

FIRST INTERNATIONAL MASTER OF MEDIA.ART.HISTORIES (low-residency; English language, international faculty)

The postgraduate program MediaArtHistories conveys the most important developments of contemporary art through a network of renowned international theorists, artists and curators like: Erkki HUHTAMO, Lev MANOVICH, Christiane PAUL, Paul SERMON, Edward SHANKEN, Jens HAUSER, Sean CUBITT, Christa SOMMERER, Gerfried STOCKER, Knowbotic Research, Frieder NAKE, Oliver GRAU and many others.

Artists and programmers give new insights into the latest software, interface developments and their interdisciplinary and intercultural praxis. Keywords are: Strategies of Interaction & Interface Design, Social Software, Immersion & Emotion and Artistic Invention. Using online databases and other modern aids, knowledge of computer animation, netart, interactive, telematic and genetic art as well as the most recent reflections onnano art, augmented reality and wearables are introduced. Historical derivations that go far back into art and media history are tied in intriguing ways to digital art. Important approaches and methods from Image Science, Media Archaeology and the History of Science & Technology will be discussed. http://www.donau-uni.ac.at/mah

Serving practitioners, scholars, and students who are members of the Leonardo community, LEAF provides a forum for collaboration and exchange with other scholarly communities, including the College Art Association of America (CAA), of which it is an affiliate society.

“Jazz the Two of Us” – Luiza Zan & Sorin Romanescu

Luiza Zan & Sorin Romanescu

Concerte multe in luna Martie pentru Luiza Zan si Sorin Romanescu si ii stim pe amandoi, va recomandam sa nu ratati intalnirea cu muzica live adevarata. Pe 10 martie dupa ora 20h30 Luiza Zan si Sorin Romanescu va asteapta la Palatul Ghica din Bucuresti. Pe 20 martie cei doi vor canta la Teledonul organizat pentru aducerea in tara a arhivelor Radio Europa Libera (nu stiu exact unde va fi asta.. dar presupun ca e o chestie televizata), iar pe 25 martie Luiza si Sorin va invita la “Jazz the Two of Us” la Targu Mures.
