Radiohead – Live in Praha

In 2007, trupa Radiohead ne-a oferit albumul “In Rainbows” fara sa ceara o suma fixa de bani pe realizarea lor. Au spus ei atunci ceva de genu’.. “da si tu cat te lasa inima.” In 2010, pare si mai normal si chiar binevenit gestul laudabil de a lasa “la liber”, spre vizionare, ultimului lor concert inregistrat video la Praga. Si in timp ce alti artisti se arata deranjati de evolutia grozava a pirateriei in lume, Radiohead i-a incurajat pe fani sa-i filmeze la acesta cantare, in plina actiune, cu ce au in dotare. Iar daca imaginea vie este influentata de trairea publicului, sunetul este de la “mama lui” venit pe cablu direct din sculele britanicilor de la Radiohead. A iesit un concert deosebit.. un alt cadou pentru care nu putem spune decat.. Thank You, Radiohead!

Premiantii la Gala HOP: Laura Bilic, Ioan-Mihai Cortea, Tudor Aaron Istodor, Raluca Mara

Tudor Aaron IstodorPremiul “Sica Alexandrescu” oferit la Gala Tanarului Actor HOP 2010 a fost castigat de Tudor Aaron Istodor (foto), iar Raluca Mara absolventa la Cluj-Napoca a obtinut premiul “Maria Filotti.

Editia a 13-a a Galei Tanarului Actor “HOP” a fost gazduita si anul acest de Casa de Cultura din Mangalia, unde timp de cateva zile, cativa zeci de tineri actori si cateva trupe au trecut prin probleme de la Individual si sectiunea Grup.

Premiul pentru cel mai bun spectacol a fost castigat de reprezentatia de pantomima si manuire de papusi “Dincolo de umbre” a absolventilor Universitatii de Arte “George Enescu” din Iasi. Ioan-Mihai Cortea a castigat premiul “Stefan Iordache” pentru cel mai bun actor. Tot la interpretare, cea mai buna actrita a galei in acest an a fost desemnata Laura Bilic. Absolventa a Universitatii de Arte “George Enescu” de la Iasi, promotia 2007. Ea a recunoscut ca nu s-a gandit serios sa participe la gala din acest an insa un coleg a insistat. Laura Bilic a mai incercat odata, editiile trecute, dar nu a putut trece de preselectie.

Premiul publicului a fost acordat la sectiunea Individual actritei Ingrid Robu, de la Universitatea “Babes-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca.

Juriul editiei 2010 a Galei Tanarului Actor “Hop” a fost compus din regizorul Felix Alexa, actorul Marius Manole, actrita Virginia Mirea, coregraful Florin Fieroiu si criticul Sorin Crisan.

Castigatorii acestei editii a Galei “Hop” urmeaza sa realizeze un spectacol pentru Televiziunea Romana.

“Jurnalism Non-Linear”, program intensiv de pregatire pentru jurnalistii din mediul online

Centrul pentru Jurnalism IndependentCentrul pentru Jurnalism Independent anunta organizarea in perioada octombrie – decembrie 2010, la sediul CJI din Bucuresti, a programului de pregatire “Jurnalism Non-Linear”, primul de acest fel dedicat special jurnalistilor din mediul online.

Programul combina cursurile cu practica in redactie si pune accent pe aplicarea imediata, cu rezultate vizibile (si publicabile), a cunostintelor dobandite in timpul sesiunilor de training. Programul va oferi jurnalistilor o intelegere mai buna a modului in care functioneaza „new media” si abilitati care sa le permita sa foloseasca, intr-un mod flexibil si creativ, noile tehnologii in activitatile curente. De asemenea, in cadrul pregatirii, se vor identifica si aprofunda instrumentele necesare atragerii „nativilor digitali”, ale caror obisnuinte de consum mediatic difera de cele ale „consumatorului traditional”.

Jurnalism non-linear se va desfasura in baza unei programe dezvoltate pornind de la nevoile si capacitatile mediului online din Romania si in concordanta cu tendintele internationale. Pentru inscriere, candidatii vor trimite un dosar care sa contina:
- CV –ul;
- o scrisoare de intentie in care sa descrie un proiect multimedia pe care doresc sa-l realizeze;
- pentru cei angajati, o scrisoare din partea redactiei prin care li se garanteaza participarea la toate cele patru cursuri.
- candidatii cu experienta in domeniu pot trimite link-uri care sa ilustreze activitatea lor in domeniul multimedia.

Pentru editia 2010 a programului, gratie finantarii programului de catre CEE Trust Fund, costul programului este de 600 euro (plata se poate face in patru rate). Taxa include participarea la cele patru cursuri, asistenta online in perioada dintre cursuri, materialele de curs, acces la platforma de comunicare interna a CJI, consumabilele necesare derularii activitatilor. Toti participantii vor primi o masa pe zi (pranzul), cafea si racoritoare.

Cursuri de limba ceha

CzechCentrul Ceh organizeaza cursuri de limba ceha pentru incepatori in fiecare luni de la ora 18h00, incepand cu data de 6 septembrie 2010. Cursul cuprinde 12 sedinte a cate 2 ore (2x50min). Taxa de curs este de 300 ron si se plateste integral la momentul inscrierii. Grupele sunt formate din maxim 16 persoane iar numarul minim pentru a incepe un curs este de 10 persoane. Ekaterinburg, formerly Sverdlovsk, is the capital of the Soviet Union’s industrial heartland, the Ural. When the USSR collapsed, the city’s many heavy industries fell prey to economic malaise. But today, Ekaterinburg has become one of the hubs of Russia’s resource economy, a site of accumulation following an era of shock privatization, a place where people dream with BRICs and awaken to the harsh realities of economic crisis. How should we understand all this new investor architecture, empty as of yet, all these new service industries, all that new imaginary “symbolic capital” produced by “creative professionals” and their underlings? What role does and can contemporary art play in such a place, when it comes to the half-operational spaces of Soviet industry? Can it be more than a shot in the dark, a fastmoving consumer commodity, a medium for gentrification, a plaything of the superrich? Can it be more than a reproduction?

The biennial’s title is “Shockworkers of the Mobile Image,” and its main venue is the Ural Worker Printing Press, a constructivist building in the center of Ekaterinburg. Built in 1929-1930, this space prompts a dialogue with the most contradictory period of Soviet history, when the party sent shock brigades to build heavy industries in the middle of nowhere. Their superproductive labor was supposedly voluntary, heroic, based on enthusiasm and affect, but overseen by a growing security apparatus. Foreign experts and internationalists participated, reproducing and implanting mobile images of Fordist modernity. Their engagement was genuine, but remained blind to the harsh reality of intensifying exploitation. In many ways, Russia’s transition to global post-Fordist capitalism is no less drastic, and today’s global artists, filmmakers, and architects are shockworkers, too, and internationalists, no doubt, capable of an affective solidarity much like that of the pre-fascist 1930s. They come to distant cities, working nights to build temporary factories on the sites abandoned by industry, factories that reproduce images, affects, and social relations, factories where free time takes on form and becomes a commodity. In Ekaterinburg, this temporary factory taps into a vast reservoir of amateur creativity, harkening back to an age when it seemed like all the shockwork was over… We want to ask: who is really the worker in this new factory? The artist? The curator? The audience? What happens when these workers leave? And what happens when they return?

The exhibition at the biennial’s main venue is accompanied by a program of special projects, curated by Alisa Prudnikova, director of the National Center for Contemporary Art, Ekaterinburg branch. It inhabits the operational or defunct premises of some of Ekaterinburg’s largest industrial plants. Artists from Ekaterinburg and elsewhere in Russia and from abroad will turn these production sites into a heterogeneous territory for experiments in the industrial environment. Factory spaces themselves become objects of artistic production that pursues a diversity of aims, be they critical, poetic, or social.

The biennial’s opening will be accompanied by an international symposium.

On the occasion of the opening, the biennial will publish a catalogue in two volumes, one of them dedicated to the main venue, the other to the special projects program. Contributors include Oleg Aronson, Keti Chukhrov, Boris Groys, Hu Fang, Ben Seymour and Hito Steyerl.
