Inainte de petrecerea organizata pe 3 martie la Arenele Romane, Alternativ Radio va aduce muzica lui Proket si Temper D intr-un mix special realizat pentru noi, miercuri de la ora 20, chiar inainte de intalnirea cu Brigada Artistica Urbana live din Expirat. DARKE *ST Cru are deosebita onoare de a va prezenta in cadrul evenimentului ARENA
TECHNO DRUM&BASS (Editie Speciala) pe doi dintre cei mai neobositi sustinatori ai celui mai nou curent muzical ce isi trage radacinile din cele mai populare stiluri ale muzicii electronice: TECHNO si DRUM&BASS. Ambii au mai fost invitati si la alte evenimente DARKE*ST (Proket la Substil, Temper D la BrEAkThRu) si revin tocmai pentru ca de fiecare data ne-au impresionat nu doar cu tehnica impecabila cu care isi construiesc povestea muzicala ( Temper D fiind un adevarat vizionar la acest capitol, mixand la nu mai putin de patru platane!) dar mai ales cu sound-ul atat de NOU si FRESH! Alaturi de
legendarul Raiden (considerat initiatorul acestui curent muzical), Proketface parte din avangarda stilului techno drum&bass, fiind unul dintre cei mai infulenti producer-i de techno drum&bass ai momentului iar Temper D este considerat cel mai tehnic DJ al unor case de discuri precum Freak Recordings si Offkey Recordings (primul label de techno drm&bass). PROKET (Moscova, RUSIA)

Ogienko Alexey (aka Proket) was born in Norilsk, Russia in 1986. In 2001 he got to like electronic music and already in 2002 he proceeded with creating his own tunes. It didn’t take long till he started getting good feedback and recognition from well- known Russian producers and dj’s such as Sta, Profit, Sunchase and Cyb Orc(Illuminati).

After a while he met Denix who came up with an idea to make a collaboration. This is how Prode was born. Later on Feom and Roland got onboard.

In 2003 Proket remixes a tune called “Let it be” by an estonian producer Bad M.F. with vocals by Bad girl.It becomes an immidiate success and was played on a number of radiostations through out Russia and the Ukraine. it is also featured on an LP(TAM Records) and 4 other compilations.

In 2004 Prode and Logical collaborated on 2 tunes: El Nino and Breakage, that got instantly signed by Recon recordings and are played by Raiden, Optiv(C4C), Profit, Pyro and others. El Nino has even been featured on DogsOnAcid’s Top ten. Same year Doom, another collab between Prode and Logical, got picked by Dylan forhis Freak Recordings.

2005. Having sent Chris Jarman (Raiden) his tune Proportion gets picked by Offkey recordings, Raiden`s own label (www.offkeymp3.com) and new Proket – Raiden collaborations start to pop up: Raiden, Proket – B4, Raiden, Prode – Vodkabite(Freak). Proket, Raiden – Skafandr(Offkey), Raiden, Proket – B4.

2006 brings even more luck and tracks like Proket – Gardarika, Prode – Cubic finally got the recognition they rightfully deserved and got pickedby legendary DSCI4 (DJ Trace) and become the essence of the fourth part of the smashing Spy technology series. These tunes are played by Raiden, Optiv, Dieselboy, Loxy, Limewax, SPL, The Panacea among others.

In 2007 Offkey recordings will release a Proket “Apocrypha” EP. The definition that Proket applies for his sound is schranz`n`bass. By combining these 2 genres Proket creates his own unique sound that can not be confued with anything else. Today tunes like Guta, Locomotive, Skafandr define the future technoid sound of dnb.

TEMPER D (Londra, ANGLIA)

Gradually gaining respect as one of very few drum and bass DJ’s capable of mixing on 3 decks, the past few years has been a bit of a rollercoaster for Temper D, aka Dave Bowles. Now firmly settled in the Offkey Recordings camp, Dave was brought in by like minded artist and long time hero Raiden, and is now lucky enough to be representing the label and sound behind the decks at raves all over the world on a regular basis.

With all the offkey artists focussing on pushing forward the techno influence on drum and bass, from bleeps and percussion right through to moving old style detroit synths, Raiden, Propaganda, Prode, Panacea, Temper D and K-Fire and Lethal and Khanage feel like they are accomplishing something truely original.

Initially collaborating with university friend Exile on Renegade Hardware in 2002, the initial productions were already being played by the big dogs. The first release ‘Warehouse’ was caned by Nicky Blackmarket, Dom and Roland, and even aired on Radio 1 by the late John Peel. However, with Exile being a master of technical trickery and Temper D more concerned with the dance floor, the project was short lived, and a new partnership began with guitarist and producer Tim Robinson, aka K-Fire.

A string of releases on various labels has followed, including Invader, Cell, and Concord Dawn’s imprint Uprising. Between them, the tunes have been caned by the likes of Klute, Raiden, Adam F, Logistics and Nu:Tone, Concord Dawn, Nicky Blackmarket, and many more. More recently tracks have also been picked up for Raiden’s techno dnb label Off-Key, the artistic step forward which follows years of concern that drum and bass could learn from the progression and minimalism of techno. Having written on the subject for
Knowledge Magazine, and spoken at length with like-minded breakthrough artist Raiden, the music itself is now there to do the talking, and both Temper D and K-Fire intend to push the sound pioneered by Raiden, Prode and Propoganda as far as possible, both in the studio and on the turntables. Years of raving to DJ’s like Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Ben Simms, as well as the dnb fraternity has brought about an approach to the dancefloor based on patience and maximising certain moments of when the
place really does go off, rather than battering the big tunes as quick as possible.

Since winning the massive Dogs On Acid DJ competition, Temper D has regularly DJ’d all over Europe and the UK, and in the past few months alone has played in Hungary, Germany, Austria, Poland, Norway, and Denmark, including some of the biggest raves around, such as Breakbeat Kaos at Fabric in London and Kings of the Jungle in Mannheim, Germany. His schedule for the next few months is equally as hectic, with dates lined up at raves and festivals in Austria, Ukraine, Estonia, Hungary, Poland and Germany as well
as his monthly residency in Newcastle and other dates in the UK. He has played alongside pretty much every big name there is, including Andy C, Mampi Swift, DJ Craze, Adam F, Nicky Blackmarket, Skibadee, Shabba, Navigator, and many more. He has also recently done guest DJ slots on the legendary Kiss 100FM with Adam F, and mixed the first in the Cell Recordings Mix CD series.

As much a techno head as a junglist, it is behind the decks where Temper D is most at home. Driven by an attitude of making sure dance floors are always kept interested, his creative mixing marks a style coming directly from the raver’s point of view.
