Centrul Ceh va propune un nou proiect in luna decembrie, cu ocazia implinirii a 170 de ani de la nasterea compozitorului Antonin Dvorak. Creatie, concurs si party.
Pe tot parcursul lunii, va invitam sa remixati orice lucrare (sau fragment) a celebrului compozitor ceh, fara a impune un gen sau stil, urmand ca piesele rezultante sa fie incarcate pewww.soundcloud.com/centrulceh.
Remix-urile trebuie sa aiba o durata de maxim 5 minute. Acestea vor fi trimise in format mp3, 320kbps, pe adresa ccbucuresti@czech.cz (via transfer.ro, wetransfer etc). Toate lucrarile primite vor fi supuse licentei Creative Commons.
“Carusella” is a garage rock duo from Tel Aviv, formed in late 2007 as a collaboration between Tamar Aphek i Guy Shechter, and some sort of culmination of their presence on Israeli indie scene. Hutsmize – the first independent festival of alternative music in Israel that Tamar launched, Shechter’s tours and albums from “Monotonix”, “O.B.E.Y” and “Flying Baby”, and several years of performing together at “ED” preceded the creation of (besides Monotonix) one of the most important indie bands from their region.
Complimenting that are also great reactions that their first album got (”Carusella” 2008), not only in their homeland but also in Europe, and over 200 concert that followed through several tours across the “Old Continent” and USA. It’s good to mention that they recently performed at cult “SXSW” festval in Texas, and with their non-stop touring life they had the honor to share the stage with bands like “Editors”, “Deerhoof”, “Torche”, “Kylesa”… Hard, energetic but at the same time filled with poppy sounds – their music, spiced with great chemistry in live performances, is something that is hard to listen with indifference. www.myspace.com/carusella
Vreau ca inca de la inceput sa fiu bine inteles, Guns N’Roses se incadreaza in seria trupelor care trebuia sa viziteze odata si Romania. Trebuia! Insa cu ceva timp in urma. Pe vremea cand mai era si Slash acolo. Astazi, nu ma simt deloc, dar absolut deloc atras de nume si logo, si evit sa ma las strans si manuit de agentii de paza, pe banii mei, in turma.. ca niste vite, in timp ce Axl Rose o sa iasa pe scena cu palaria lui de cowboy urland “Welcome to the Jungle!!!”. Baiete, daca jungla trebuia sa poarte un nume.. asta ar fi Romania. Habar n-ai tu!
O trupa.. monstru, insuficient de tare insa ca sa-i sperie pe clasici, sau sa ii impresioneze macar pe cei responsabili cu muzica de la radiourile romanesti, care auzind ca Guns N’Roses este SOLD OUT la Bucuresti s-ar fi grabit astfel sa includa trupa in heavy-rotation macar o vreme.. asa cum au facut de exemplu cu Madalina Manole atunci cand si-a gasit faima pe fundul sticlei cu pesticid. Sancki!
Cu siguranta o trupa monstru pentru comportamentul deloc atent catre fani. Adesea concertele Guns N’Roses pornesc cu o ora intarizere iritand de cele mai multe ori audienta. Un secret? Puteti incerca o razbunare instant daca va veti afisa la concert cu un tricou pe care sa scrie mare SLASH!
Uite cam ce s-a intamplat pe 1 septembrie 2010 la concertul Guns N’Roses de la Dublin. “That is absolutely ridiculous! Axel is a seasoned musician and I’m sure he’s played worse stages than the o2 Dublin. He keeps the audience waiting two hours, plays a song and then leaves. That is madness, the audience should of been refunded! By the time he came back on an hour later, half of the audience had left. It’s very disappointing. If he makes the audience arrive at 7.30 and has the cheek to arrive at 10.30 the audience has every right to boo and throw bottles!?”(Youtube comment)

However, Axl Rose being Axl Rose refused to leave the stage… This is what happened! Security must have been getting worried, just before i took this, there were chants of “storm the stage!”

Mike Stroud (chitara) si Evan Mast (synth) = Ratatat. Un duo electro originar din New York format inca din studentie. Baietii au inceput insa inregistrarile la inceputul anilor 2000 cand faceau muzica sub numele Cherry. Debutul Ratatat s-a intamplat abia in 2004 printr-un album exclusiv instrumental. De atunci au fost invitati pe la festivaluri si in turneele unor artisti importanti precum Interpol, Daft Punk sau Bjork.
Videoclipul propus spre ascultare este extras de pe cel de-al patrulea album, lansat in 2010, numit simplu “LP4″. Un album despre care allmusic.com scrie “Their trademark sound of chunky rhythms, soaring guitar harmonies, 8-bit textures, and sunny, catchy melodies remains fully intact.” A doua piesa pe album “Drugs”.
